At the Clinton Restaurant, we’re the premiere restaurant for seafood, burgers, and our specialty: Pizza Whitestone. When locals think of the best Pizza Places Whitestone, the Clinton is their first choice! Our building was originally constructed in 1901 and we have been in business ever since then! The Babich family has owned the Clinton Restaurant for three generations! Our history leads back to the 1800s when DeWitt Clinton was governor of New York. A native of Queens, he spent many summers in Whitestone and frequented our restaurant, which at the time, didn’t have a name. Citizens of Whitestone decided to name the restaurant after him as homage to his great work for New York. Clinton is especially remembered amongst citizens for his proceeds towards building the Erie Canal.
